Human & Civil Rights Committee- shall recommend Association positions on matters related to both member and citizen rights; to celebrate contributions to the cause of human rights, and to integrate respect for all people and cultures into the work of the Association.

Committee Charges:

·  Recommend appropriate recognition awards to groups or individuals who have worked to advance Human and Civil Rights through their contributions to public education in Pinellas County with Executive Board approval.

·  Recommend to the President/Executive Board a plan to raise awareness and to implement actions toward restorative justice in Pinellas County.

·  Develop strategies to recommend to the President/Executive Board to assist in expanding minority participation in trainings, and engagement in all levels of the Association.

·  Develop strategies to recommend to the President/Executive Board to raise awareness and/or take collective action around current human and civil rights issues.
